High Image Dance strives to create a positive, vibrant environment for students to learn and develop skills in the art of dance. We also make it our mission to serve families in the best ways possible by providing online payment for tuition and fees, a cozy lobby with monitors for viewing classes, a Dancewear store, and a separate play area for younger siblings. Read on for frequently asked questions and to learn more about our studio!
What age do you start dance classes?
We begin students as early as three years old.
What other costs are there outside of monthly tuition?
Our dance families pay one flat Student Experience fee per semester. This covers the cost of a t-shirt, performance fee, and performance costume.
Do you offer family discounts?
We offer various discounts for families of two or more dancers.
When can we register?
We offer two registration periods per year, one in July – August and one in December. In between these times, we can take your name and information and add you to our waitlist for you to possibly be enrolled in a class for the following semester.
Do you have a dress code?
Yes. Dancers should wear dance class appropriate shoes as well as standard dance attire with their hair out of their face. Jeans, street shoes, and dangling jewelry are not permitted during class.
How many performances will my dancer participate in?
High Image Dance hosts two back-to-back shows per year at the Marion Cultural and Civic Center. The Spring Showcase takes place in May, and the Christmas Spectacular is held in December.
What styles of dance do you offer?
Dancers ages 3 through Pre-K are enrolled in an early childhood development program called Discover Dance that focuses on structure with elements of imagination and creativity. Dancers in kindergarten through high school enroll in classes that may include tap, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary styles.
Do you offer opportunities for dancers other than just standard classes?
We are always seeking fun and creative opportunities for our dancers. We regularly attend Walt Disney World’s Performing Arts workshop and recently attended Dance the World Broadway in New York City. In addition, we also attend the Dupree Dance Convention in St. Louis, Missouri each year. We have also performed at Rent One stadium and the Herrin Festa Italiana parade.
*All opportunities are optional, and most do have an age limit.
